life is grand

So i've been in Dallas for a few weeks now. I love it. God is so amazing to bring me here to Plano. It's where I am supposed to be. I was telling the worship team the other night that one of the most exhilirating feeling a person could have is to be able to confidently say "I belong here." I hope you can say the same thing about your life and where you are at. And if you are not "there," at least be heading that direction.

I really don't even know if anyone at all reads this blog, but i'll keep posting and updating. drop me a line on myspace or facebook.

Dallas Update

Dallas has been awesome! It hasn't stopped raining since I got here, but it's all good.

Today is my third day on the job and things are going great. The staff here at Grace Outreach are all very kind. I led worship this past weekend and Wednesday night.... and it's going great. We played To Deserve by ol' jonathan stockstill last night and the kids loved it.

I miss all you folks already! Stay in touch and don't be afraid to call, OR COME VISIT!!! Just call first if you do! Well today, we are making a video for the message series this weekend, so back to work for me. Holla!

apartment approval and sick guitar playin'

so i got approved for my apartment! and my electricity is turned on! so my last day of work at the credit union was today and i'm so glad about that... and i move up to Dallas this weekend! my family is having a little going-away part for me thursday night and they are giving me some furniture, so that way i'll have something to put in my empty apartment.

last night michael, calhoun, and i did a small show. we had a blast and the crowd loved us. we got a standing ovation and they gave us a 25 dollar gift certificate! big time! i know.

here's some pics from the show...

the visitation

i move in 4 days! i'm way excited. so if you wanna hang before i go, give me a call pretty soon because i may not be back for quite a while. but i'm here and chillin' for the next 4 days.

this past weekend i went up to dallas to find an apartment... and it took forever. BUT i found one and its amazing! within my budget, and the apartments have an indoor basketball court, raquetball court, and fitness center. yesssssss.

saturday night i led worship at student impact, and was introduced to the worship team. we had a blast and all went and hung out after the service. sunday morning i was supposed to leave early for baton rouge, but pastor dennis called me because one of the worship leaders couldn't make it, so i ended up leading worship for the sunday morning youth service also. it went great and god moved! all you guys at SI rock! especially the muffin man... you know who you are.

here's some pics from worship...

the big move

so i decided to start a blog since i'm really starting a new chapter in life. recently i received an opportunity to move to Dallas and take a position as a youth worship pastor. after some prayer, we decided it was the right move to make. they asked if i could move within the month. so i have 2 weeks till i permanantly move to Dallas (actually Plano, a suburb right outside of Dallas) and then i will be a resident of Texas! i'm so stoked... God is so awesome. He opened this door for me and i really do give him all the glory.

so here are a few of my job responsibilities: leading worship for multiple youth services, overseeing all videos and media for services, all sound/technical/lighting for services, and all drama and creative arts. i will also have my hand in discipleship ministry and small groups. i will have a full plate, but i like it that way!

be sure to keep checking here to stay updated on whats going on. i'll post as much as possible! make sure to find me on myspace! oh, and here is the link to the youth ministry i will be working with: http://www.student-impact.com/

Oh, and if you or anyone you know has furniture they are willing to part with, let me know. I need furniture! thanks!
